4Gas owns the 300-acre site and all Federal, State and Local permits to construct and operate the Vista del Sol LNG project on Corpus Christi Bay, Texas, on the Gulf of Mexico. The site offers deepwater channel access capable of handling LNG ships with cargo capacity up to 250,000 cbm. The Terminal’s regasification capacity is 10 billion cubic meters per annum (bcma) or 1.1 billion cubic feet a day (bcf/d).
The project initially encompasses three 155,000 cbm full containment LNG storage tanks, delivering a peak send–out capacity of 14 bcma (or 1.4 bcf/d). The expansion allows for up to 5 tanks of 155,000 cbm each, delivering 16 bcma (or 1.6 bcf/d).
There is space for a second berth which will be pre-dredged as part of the initial development. The terminal will be connected to the 25.3 mile, 36" diameter send-out pipeline with connections to interstate and intrastate pipelines Kinder Morgan-NGPL, Kinder Morgan Tejas, El Paso, Williams-Transco, Duke-Tetco, Crosstex, Energy Transfer, and Gulf South.
The major project permits include: FERC approvals for the terminal and the pipeline, the TCEQ air permits and the US Army Corps of Engineers permits for dredging and associated environmental mitigation project.
